Dr Richard Knottenbelt

I met Dr Knottenbelt in September 2017 at Charing Surgery in Ashford. I went there because I was experiencing some deep pain on my right side on breathing accompanied by swelling around the neck. In fact, I was referred to him by another wonderful GP who also works at the same surgery. The minute I met Dr Knottenbelt I felt so fortunate as he was very friendly and interested in my case. He listened to me. He then assessed me thoroughly and at each step consulting me to get me the most suitable investigations. Some of my results came back fast but the pain and swelling around the neck on the right hand side were still there so I have phoned up the surgery to ask for help. Again I was referred to Dr Knottenbelt and he not only performed a phone assessment but he called me in. The surgery is a very busy one and I did not expect to be seen. Once again Dr Knottenbelt performed excellence and done his very best to the highest possible standards. Now, I am not one to use the services unnecessary as I am a very busy person myself and I try to self- heal whenever possible. I believe this is the best and healthiest option.The NHS it is stretched to its limits and doctors such as Dr Knottenbelt work so hard to squeeze in all of us in real need. All in all, I feel very fortunate to have met Dr Knottenbelt and I hope in the future I wont need the service but if I do I feel totally confident under his care. What an amazing, respectful and honest Doctor! Thank you Dr Knottenbelt.

I am hoping that this is the doctor knottenbelt who was at the limes surgery in Margate. Because he is a good kind caring friendly Doctor who has time with all of his patience what ever your age is. He helped me when I was not well he checked me over and all of a sudden he called for the ambulance he told me to sit in the waiting room and call him when they have arrived. But he stepped a stone further he sed to my mum if he starts to feel any worse come down and knock on my door even if I have another patient in with me just come and knock on the door. When the ambulance service arrived he came out with paperwork in his had helped the paramedic people to get me in the ambulance and he gave the paperwork to them and off I went and all of a sudden the doctors at a&e told me and my if I did not go to the doctors I would of been dead because I had pneumonia and a blood clot on the lungs and I was in hospital for about 10 days. I think he should have a reward for being of of a kind Doctor. Thanks again knottenbelt for saving my life. From Richard Hensby i wishe I could still be your patient

I was thoroughly relieved when I spoke with Dr knottenbelt because he was kind and listened, I felt heard and understood and left with a feeling of hope and a plan of action. Dr immelman asked questions and gave sound advice. He took into account lifestyle health, diet, exercise, mindset as well as the medical side of things. I will definitely be asking for future appointments with him as I felt he looked at my medical health holistically. My faith in a visit to the Dr's has definitely been restored somewhat after this visit.

I saw this Doctor for the first time on Wednesday 19th July 2017 after an initial telephone consultation. What a doctor! When I saw him he actually sat & looked at me whilst I described my concerns. He examined me and produced prescriptions to assist with my treatment. He made follow up appointments and explained everything to me as he was doing it. I was well impressed and had to let others know how I feel. Well done Doctor - will be choosing to see you again.
